Meet Sarah

I have a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling & School Counseling from Wayne State University. I specialize in disordered eating, substance use disorder, mindfulness, movement therapy, and adventure-based counseling. I also hold a Master's in Art & Art Education from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Eastern Michigan University.  In addition, I am a holistic health coach from the Institute of Integrated Nutrition with over 25 years of experience. I recently completed a 200-hour yoga certification and Social-Emotional Learning certificate through Breathe for Change. My interest includes Bhakti Yoga and the science of Ayurveda and its effects on one's overall health.

Can you relate to...

... the cycle of yo-yo dieting?

... struggling with boundaries?

... not having enough time for self-care?

... having limiting beliefs?

... letting negative self-talk creep in?

... having feelings of shame?

... having trouble with communication?

... numbing yourself as a coping mechanism?

Client Love Notes

Reaching out to Sarah was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I have been suffering from disordered eating for decades but had never tried therapy before.  I finally sought help from Sarah about 4 months ago. Sarah is caring, intuitive, and easy to connect to, and I felt comfortable with her from the beginning. I have gained a new perspective on so many things that had been causing me grief over the years. Sarah genuinely cares about helping me succeed and is a constant support throughout my journey. Many times I leave a session thinking, "Why did I wait so long to do this?" My only complaint is that I didn’t find her sooner!
